Ultrasound and Imaging
Diagnostic ultrasound, or sonography, uses low-power, high-frequency sound waves to produce images of organs, growths and structures within the body. It is a safe procedure with no known risks. Most ultrasound examinations are done using an ultrasound device outside the body, though some may involve placing a device inside the body.

Ultrasound imaging is used to view the uterus and ovaries during pregnancy and in cases of infertility and to monitor the baby’s health. It is also used to diagnose liver or gallbladder disease, evaluate the kidneys and bladder, examine the breasts, monitor thyroid soft tissue and detect genital and prostate problems. It can also be used to evaluate blood flow and ACL injuries, hernias and perform complete abdominal scans.
